Dharamsala enjoys the unique distinction of being the chosen home of the spiritual and temporal head of the Tibetan people. There are several places of tourist attractions in Dharamsala that are worth visiting. Dharamsala is better known as Dalai Lama's abode and Tibet's Government-in-exile after the Chinese invasion of Lhasa in October 1959.

The best times to visit Dharamsala are spring and the autumn seasons, when it is not too hot, too cold or too wet.
